“escapo”は2000年、スケーターが集まり Open Air Free Partyを始めたことをきっかけに生まれました。
2016年からはスケートボード専用バッグの設計・開発に着手。Skate Trip や日常の移動に対応できるよう、優れた耐久性と機能性に加え、シンプルで機能美を感じさせるデザイン を追求しています。大容量でありながらも無駄のないフォルムは、街にも自然に馴染む造形美を持ち合わせています。既存のスケートバッグに満足できなかった経験を出発点に、ユーザーの声を反映しながら改良を重ね、理想のバッグへと近づけています。

現在はバッグの開発に加え、音楽活動を継続しながら、アパレルや小物の企画・制作にも取り組み、Skate Tripや撮影を通じて広がるつながりを大切にしています。スケートと音楽を軸に、人と人がつながり続ける場をつくり出しています。2025年には、大分県に escapo商品のショールーム兼音楽スタジオを併設したスケートショップ「minimal skateboards」 を開店。大分からの発信を起点に、スケートと音楽をめぐる新しい動きを全国へ、そして世界へと広げています。

ESCAPO was born in 2000, when a group of skaters came together to start the open-air free party Escapology.
In 2016, we began the design and development of skateboard-specific bags. Built to handle Skate Trips as well as everyday use, our bags combine durability and functionality with a simple design that embodies functional beauty. Despite their large capacity, the clean and minimal form blends naturally into the city. Starting from the frustration of never finding a truly satisfying skatebag, we continue to refine our products by listening to users and moving closer to the ideal bag.Today, alongside bag development, ESCAPO also continues its music activities while creating apparel and small goods, and values the connections that grow through Skate Trips and filming. With skateboarding and music at its core, ESCAPO creates spaces where people remain connected.In 2025, we opened “minimal skateboards” in Oita, Japan—a skate shop that also serves as a showroom for ESCAPO products and a music studio. From Oita, new movements in skateboarding and music are spreading nationwide, and reaching out to the world.
